Stolen Royal Mail Vehicle

 

Any Royal Mail vehicle which is stolen must be reported internally and to the Police. In the event that a Royal Mail vehicle is stolen, this is the process to follow:
Report the theft to the police and obtain a Crime Reference Number.
Advise your local Security Manager.
Advise the maintaining Workshop.
Advise your regional fleet team.
If the vehicle is recovered, you must report the recovery to the same people as above.
If the vehicle remains unrecovered after 6 weeks, it will be written off and removed from our vehicle registers.
Please note: this process only applies to the red fleet.
